ABOUT THE ARTIST
Manisha Puri (b. 2000) is a London-based multidisciplinary artist working across mixed-media installation, textiles, sound, drawing and woven structures. Born and brought up in an Indian household, her practice is shaped by cultural memory, traditional craft processes and her background in architecture. Having moved across continents, Puri explores how fragments of folk traditions, ritual, mythology, childhood memories, textiles and bell sounds can be transformed through materials, gestures and making. Working with tactile and hand-led processes, she explores memory, vibration, movement and participation. Her installations often invite audiences to touch, move and interact with the work, allowing their presence to become part of its unfolding. She is interested in the traces, experiences and connections that can remain beyond the immediate encounter.
