PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Have an idea that could exist beyond the artwork?
Artists can submit proposals for artist-led products, editions and objects developed from their creative practice.
Selected proposals may receive development funding and production support from LILIS LAB towards approved design adaptation, prototyping, test production and material sampling. Support is assessed project by project, used directly towards approved costs and is not a cash payment.
Successful development projects may be considered for further production and commercial collaboration. Platform membership does not guarantee funding, free prototyping, production or sales.

We review creative fit, manufacturability and product potential. Selected ideas may receive approved prototyping and testing support. Suitable prototypes may progress to a separate commercial agreement.
Support may include design adaptation, prototypes, test printing, laser-cut prototypes, material sampling, feasibility testing, basic prototype finishing and technical production adjustments.
It does not automatically cover final production, large batches, packaging, shipping, advertising, marketing, exhibition fees, artist labour, travel or cash reimbursement.

Behind every finished work is a process of testing, making, finishing and presentation. LILIS LAB works across 3D printing, design, digital fabrication, photography and visual production to help ideas move from concept into physical form and final presentation.
